Romantasy readers are about to have the best game nights, though they might find themselves fighting over Riorson House and the Night Court before the year is through. Just months after Hasbro’s Fourth Wing Monopoly was announced, another big series is getting its own edition of the classic board game. A Court of Thorns and Roses Monopoly is officially happening, and it’s releasing at the perfect time.
Given the popularity of Sarah J. Maas’ romantasy series, it’s no surprise that Hasbro is looking to bring the world of ACOTAR to tabletop gamers. Per a press release announcing MONOPOLY: A Court of Thorns and Roses Edition, it will draw inspiration from the first three books in Maas’ story. The game will feature well-known locations and elements from the books, from the seven Courts of Prythian to the Book of Breathings. It will release on October 1, but the game is now available for pre-order.
There Are Two Versions of A Court of Thorns and Roses Monopoly to Choose From

There will be two versions of ACOTAR Monopoly to choose from: the regular and special edition. The former comes in a red and gold box and has a matching red and gold board. The latter swaps that for green and gold. According to the press release, the special edition also features “premium book-style packaging with gold foil accents and embossed leather-inspired textures.” And there’s a collectible Suriel token that only comes with that version. Both retail for $39.99.

MONOPOLY: A Court of Thorns and Roses Special Edition is available to pre-order on Amazon now. Fans can order MONOPOLY: A Court of Thorns and Roses Edition in advance on Amazon, Walmart, and Target as of this writing. It’ll take a while for the games to actually release, but they’ll be here at the perfect time.
ACOTAR Monopoly Arrives Just in Time for the Long-Awaited Book 6

Whichever version of ACOTAR Monopoly fans choose to purchase, it’s arriving at an ideal time to celebrate the series. Its October 1 release date comes just before the arrival of A Court of Thorns and Roses 6. The long-gestating next book in Maas’ series will be here on October 27. For anyone ushering in the sequel with friends, Monopoly makes a fun activity in the lead-up to its big drop. The stunning boxes will also complement any reader’s bookshelf, adding further incentive to pick one (or both) up.
